What We Do

One Crew for Four Jobs

Logan County Tree Co. started in 2014 as a removal outfit: Brett Aper, a bucket truck, a chipper and a stump grinder, taking down storm-split silver maples and borer-killed ash around Lincoln, Illinois the way a line-clearance crew does, in sections with the rigging set first. Removal is still what most people know us for. More of our calls now are for the ash stump in the mowing line, the maple that only needs its deadwood out, or a fence row gone to Osage orange.

Every job starts with the question Brett learned on the line crew: where is the tree, what could it hit, and whose tree is it? In Lincoln that last part counts. A parkway tree between the curb and your property line is public, and nobody cuts it without the Street Superintendent's consent, while a tree on your own lot needs no permit. Stump Grinding

Tree Trimming

Deadwood and hazard limbs out, silver maples and Bradford pears thinned for ice, hackberry and honeylocust reduced, and limbs lifted off the roof, the drive and the street before a 10-day notice arrives.
